Super easy to assemble. Rubber mallet and a smack board is the way. Just wish the box hadn't been covered in wax, makes painting a pain.

Super nice, build quality is better than anything I’ve seen around. Assembly wasn’t difficult, I would say it’s better that the older hives for fit and finish.

Delighted to get my third beehive. Lovely assembly. The wood is well coated in thick wax. The dovetail joints are really tight. Now all I need to do now is await the arrival of the Nucs.

Belle ruche, facile à monter. Plus qu'à espérer qu'un essaim vienne s'y installer. La ruche arrive dans un carton bien protégé et envoi rapide de la part de Vevor.

I now have 7 of these hives , one occupied by bees see photo , hoping to populate others next season with swarms. One photo shows a brood chamber on a plastic base, hopefully will entice swarms

I now have 7 of these hives, i will be using the 2 deep boxes to,hopefully, trap swarms. Then I can put into full hive without disturbing bees.I also have 4 polyhives but these Cedar ones are much nicer to look at and make an attractive garden feature.An annual painting with beeswax should guarantee years of service and maybe lots of honey.I have moved a swarm into one of these hives and the bees seem happy in it

I have 5 of these hives with 2 more on the way. beautifully made and easy to assemble. I moved a swarm into the first one 2 days ago and they have settled in well, I shall populate the rest of the hives as bees become available but it is getting cold so may have to finish the job in Spring. I would recommend making some simple insulated jackets if the weather gets really cold if your swarm size is small. At this great price using the deep frames from one of the hives as swarm traps makes a good proposition as any bees trapped can be housed in a full hive without disturbance.These hives are more attractive than polyhives and with a regular coating of bees wax should last years
