Using it for knife bevel grinding. works fine. easy to adjust the angle, modified it a bit to accept a knife guide in either direction.

I bought this last month. It does appear to be good quaility overall. One thing to look for. The countersunk screws in the teflon base are not deep enough. They will mare your table. inspect. Remove screws and deeped countersink to insure screw head is below the teflone skid plate. i can't put a picture here with out giving vevor total access to my phone. That aint happening.

Le gabarit est très bon étant donné son prix, cela vaut vraiment le coût. Il est solide, facile à installer et assez versatile. Je note tout de même que la totalité de la grille n'est pas vraiment exploitable en l'état à cause de la façon dont le système fonctionne, les vis sont gênées par les parties métalliques qui permettent de régler l'inclinaison de la grille. Ce n'est pas extrêmement gênant mais autant le savoir.

This knife grinder is a solid, well built device. It can be adjusted in fine increments using the turnbuckle. I am using it to sharpen chisels. This is probably not its intended purpose because the corner of the baseplate protrudes when the mounting plate is tilted back. This prevented the chisel from sitting flat on the mounting plate. This problem can be solved by putting a slight chamfer on the baseplate.
