Cutting slices of walnut. Nice!

Easy to put together, the instructions are a bit out of order but it took two minutes to go back and revise. Just don't lock anything down tight until have it all together! I used this to mill up a 30" diameter maple into 1.5' slabs, and two 15" pine trees into 1' and 3" planks all with live edge. I have a lot of planing and sanding ahead of me when it is dry but this wood will make a work bench in my garage, allow some creative projects, and save me a bundle. The chain guard on the end is thin and broke off on the second day of cutting, I might replace it with some thicker stainless steel but it is really not an issue as you don't need to get near the saw nose if you are doing it right. I twisted off a U-bolt when tightening, but it is a standard hardware store item and I replaced it in minutes. I would have bought North American and got the Granberg but it was back ordered for weeks and the local Ottawa stores only had a shorter version of the Granberg in stock. It worked out well. I will do another large maple next summer and make an amazing kitchen island (I hope). Watch the nuts! I put one on finger tight and forgot to torque it down - it spun off in 10 seconds of cutting! Other than that I never had anything come loose. Check your saws breather / air filter frequently. The fine dust from end cutting clogs them up fast! Sharpen frequently too. I was very happy with the work I completed using this device.

Easily assembled. It is fairly sturdy when set up properly but you have to hand tighten each section and its somewhat cumbersome and time consuming. we managed to get nice straight cuts out of it. I feel it was worth the money.First time ever using an Alaskan chain saw mill. It is a fair amount of work on the saw so you need a good powerful one. It took us about 25 mins for a 6' long by 14' wide cut. We used a 20" bar and it was maxed out for width.

My saw mill arrived on time and everything was as expected. Good deal for the price and works as it should. Was missing 8 washers but no big deal, have lots of that stuff lying around pine at home. Great for moderate use which I knew before purchasing. If you plan on cutting all day every day in large quantities buy a more expensive model. But all in all great deal, great design and easy to use. ?

For the price this product works very well. The measurement notches on mine are not 100% correct but its easy enough to check cutting depth with a tape measure before use. The hardware pack was a little messed up (extra of certain nuts, short on others) but aside from the hassle of going to the hardware store the product has worked very well.

I recently started browsing through reviews before my more expensive internet buys, and i wish people would try to comment on the product they recieved more accurately.. because i will read 10 good reviews and see the couple really bad ones in between from people commenting out of anger because of a missing bolt or minor issues with the product..makes it hard for people to discern if they are buying a good product or not.
