I_e been saving up wires for a couple of years with the plan of recycling them, but automated strippers are too expensive. I made my money back in about an hour. Large gauge wire was pretty easy and painless. Medium gauge wire was manageable, but most of it was braided, and the strands are pretty short, so I ended up have to scrape the jacket when I was done to get it all, and it_ a pain. Small gauge wire is a lost cause, there just is t enough copper to make it worth the work, and it tends to roll off the the cutter as you process it.
