Good, but not 100lbs
Has a good steel flat top on it, though not the highest grade. while it takes more than a love tab to dent it, it doesn't take a mighty blow with a missed hammer strike to dent the top. The horn is a bit of an odd shape but it works well enough. The Hardy tool hole isn't 1" somewhere between 3/4 and 7/8. Also the blue paint on the side and horn definitely isn't just for rust prevention.. For sure it has a secondary or maybe primary purpose to cover up many many defects in the metal That's why I give it 4 stars but don't get me wrong, overall im happy with it, definitely a good starter anvil.

Completely worth the money.
Completely worth the money. Would definitely buy it again. My son is a Smith and needed a better and larger anvil. He loves it and uses it constantly.

Its not German made
I gave this anvil 4 stars because I'm assuming you know this isn't a small version of a $2000 anvil. 4 stars for a cheap anvil because I was expecting a cheap anvil and I got a little more than I was expecting.I've been using it for 2 months now and it has performed well. The face isn't all dinged up but keep your hammer on your steel. It was a few pounds lighter than 88 lbs but to me, no big deal. There are some voids that where filled but not in critical areas. You need to clean up the edges around the face. Takes an hour to do a good job. The face finish was nice. I'd gladly buy another one if I needed it.

Replace your piece of RR track with this....
I_e waited a significant amount of time to write this review, because I wanted to give a fair assessment. I searched tirelessly for an anvil, and the longer I searched the harder it became. If you_e like me and you don_ have thousands of dollars to blow on an antique Haybudden, but you_e at the point of insanity working with a makeshift anvil shaped object, then you_e reading the right review!!This anvil will instantly increase your productivity, and make you feel like an actual blacksmith! The rebound is at least 90%, and the thing is a beast compared to what most people start out with. It comes painted in an absolutely ridiculous blue anti-rust paint, and _ax paper on the face (more anti-rust measures). Mine came in a small cardboard crate-like box with a huge hole in it made by the horn. Because of the hole the free _ammer fell out and something crushed the wooden handle. Spoiler alert the free _ammer looks like something Barbie would have. So don_ plan on a hammer you can_ actually use, and I_l tell you right now you need to lower your expectations a bit. After looking around at expensive anvils I pre-loaded my expectations of what I was going to receive, and I wish I_ just bought this anvil a long time ago. Mine came with a butt-ton of junk in the hardy hole that I had to chip out, and I spent a day and a half widening it to a full inch (it came with a 7/8 hardy. Hand files, a band file and lots of patients... used a angle grinder and wire wheel to get the paint off, and used a 40 grit and 120 grit sanding discs to dress the corners. The stock corners are so sharp I feared I might chip them if I didn_ dress them adequately. But the only things I was truly bummed about was the shape of the horn, and how big the Pritchel hole was... it_ not round, it_ like an oval, and I_ the pics it looked round to me, but I_ here to tell you expect a wide horn. But it beats no horn at all! And the pritchel is pretty much not useable for me.All in all it took some TLC to get this anvil to what I wanted it to be, but now that I_e been beating on it for at least 6 months I can say I absolutely love it. Do yourself a favor and don_ get the 66lbs version, because this is an anvil you could have and use for years. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because of the work I had to do on it, and the oblong horn. Otherwise this thing is fricken amazing!!I truly hope this review helps, and good luck to you!! Heat and beat, my friends!

Great for beginners and the weight is ideal
I like the size of the anvil, great for beginners and also the weight is ideal for moving and storing. I'am frustrated about the delayed in shipping and also the quality of the anvil and the little hammer, I wish they QA the product and make sure its package properly, it came in bang up and not in original packaging.

Looks like a great Anvil for the price.
Great wee Anvil for the money. Needs to be dressed but to be expected so no problem, only done a few small bits will update this review after a couple of months of work. Great delivery service only 5 days to Ireland. All said and done should be good for my hobby work.

Great starter anvil
The anvil arrived in fairly poor packaging, however the anvil itself was not damaged. Seems to be a good starter anvil. only slight complaint is that the anvil came in weighed by fedex at 98 pounds and not 110 as advertised. All in all seems like a good little anvil
