Good Steel Anvil For Price
It's a steel anvil - not iron. It is a $700+ anvil? Of course not. Does it work for jewelry - copper forging - railroad spikes knives? Yes for sure. Has a nice ring to it and it milled pretty flat. Reduced by a star as it was dirty and the paint job is terrible. Other than that - decent purchase to get started with until the big boy anvil purchase.

More then I hoped for.
I have waited to give this review because i was worried about longevity. I have pounded at this anvil and ran it threw the paces. anything from chisels and ball peen hammers have had direct hits on the face with very small reflection. It did well with a 16 lb sledge hammer with overhead swinging. The surface is very flat and the edges were very sharp I filled my edges down a bit because i was worred about chipping. the hardy was 7/8 by 15/16 with lots of paint and some sort of crusty stuff set aside 5 hours with a file if you want to fix that. face was very hard with a 95 % rebound. This anvil has helped me get twice the work done that i did on my 80 lb railroad track joint in half the time.

Adeguata
Ferro piuttosto dolce, si ammacca facilmente eseguendo operazioni di forgiatura. Questo comunque non inficia la funzionalit dell'attrezzo. In poco tempo l'incudine prende un aspetto "vissuto". Per il prezzo va bene. La ricomprerei ? si.

Leather working
This anvil if the perfect size for doing leather work, small enough to fit into purses and bags to install snaps and rivets and solid enough that there is no vibrations while hammering the hardware into place... solid a s a rock

Best value in medium anvil
This is a great utility anvil in our home shop.It is steel. We use it several times a week.It is perfect for both hot and cold forging of small to medium objects. A great buy and great delivery time.

Great starter, hit it hot.
Great starter. I've hammered mild steel, 1095, and rebar all over this thing and it has held up perfectly well.

For the price it's better than most.
For the price it's really a nice little anvil. The face is not the hardest (a missed swing left a mark right away, my bad) but it functions well for the most part. The hardy hole needed some hand filing to get some burrs off and to square it up a bit. The pritchel hole works alright but it is in a strange spot. The horn works alright for basic shaping but I am likely going to have to take a grinder to it to remove the paint and smooth it out a bit. It isn't like I was expecting miracles with an anvil of this price, so I really can't complain. The big benefit is that the face is cast steel, not cast iron. It may not take direct hits well but it won't crack under pressure. Worth a look if you're just starting out.
