not balanced
YES
I haven't used the sharpener item due to my blades not needing sharpening. I did use the balancer and found that the balancer had a heavy side. It would rotate by itself to the heavy side down. I had to balance the balancer. after that it was usable. The 4 star rating for quality is due to the balancer problem. I would recommend these items. I'm sure not all balancers have this problem.

Assembled wrong from the factory
NO
Purchase this to sharpen blades for a big commercial zero turn. The initial quality seems good. My blade sharpener arrived with all the bolts way over tightened. None of the joints would move without great force. I was able to loosen the bolts, heat had to be applied to break the loctite. I believe there was damage to the bearings. Besides that, it seems to be a good unit. I'm going to reach out to see if I can get a replacement.

Pas très précis.
NO
Première fois déçu d'un achat vevor. Le mécanisme de bras articulés n'est pas précis. Impossible de s'assurer d'une coupe au bon angle...ie 33 degrés.

Just me

The screw that tightens the blade doesn't stay right unless I'm holding it tight. The vibrations loosen it almost immediately and the blade drops right out after just a couple of passes. It maintains the angle well, but I had to set it to 45° to match the 33° angle it's supposed to be. I guess you get what you pay for.

Groundskeeper

Decent device for sharpening blades. No instructions came with it so it’s best to watch some videos. The head where the blade in has some slop in it. Has the grinder moves up the blade, the head pivots inward a bit. Not a huge deal but could definitely be better. I think some shim washers will correct this. The balancer is easy to use and seems to work correctly. If I was maintaining multiple machines I’d buy an actual bench mounted blade grinder. But, for what I do this works well. My blades did cut much better after the first use of this. I was happy with the results

Mower Blade Sharpener
YES
Not big enough for zero turn blades
Does not open up far enough for the blades on Arens and Gravley zero turn mowers

The base unit mount to the table is very good.
The angle adjustment is lacking, only using a small thumbscrew to hold it. It is wobbly and prone to backing off with repeated sharpening.
The blade mount opening is insufficient for commercial blades as it is JUST barely big enough to hold them in place with the retaining screws fully backed off.
The arm mechanism would benefit from strengthening, it has too much flex when grinding into severely dulled blades.
The spacer guide needs a more secure mechanism than a nut, the nut wiggles loose and then you're liable to hit the arm with the grinding wheel.
The overall design is adequate but has a lot of room for what I can only imagine would be cheap manufacturing upgrades.
