Cuts huge stacks of paper like butter! Totally recommend if you do fliers or large quantity cutting on a regular basis.

The cutter is sturdy and appears to be very well constructed. I tested it when it arrived and it cuts square and straight whether cutting 1 sheet or many. Part of the key to getting straight and square cuts is to use the pressing bar which clamps down on the paper when the pressing handle is rotated clockwise to lower the pressing bar tightly onto the paper. The instructions are minimal and are not very good translations to English. The "Plastic File" is the long plastic bar in a slot below the blade and is contacted by the blade to complete a cut. Mine is red and it had some reddish oily substance on it which I wiped off with a paper towel; also wiped the slot that holds the bar. The bar is held in place with two plastic thumbscrews in the side of the bar slot and visible from the underside. This bar is what is referred to in the instructions: 2 "Please take out the file circumvolution 90 degree......" The bar can be swapped end for end and rotated on its long axis to get the 8 directions mentioned in (2). There is a clear plastic guard on top of the cutting mechanism assembly which I removed....common sense says keep fingers out of the cutting area when operating the cutter handle. I took a few minutes to tighten the screws holding the blade in place as well as the various nuts and bolts visible from the underside. It is probably a more heavy duty tool than I really need, but I like it and will pass it on to my son when I no longer have need to use it.

Bought this to help me digitize my collection of vintage paperbacks. It took me exactly two minutes to set up and cut the spine off a paperback book. It handled the thing like butter, making a perfect cut.I'm using it in conjunction with a Brother ADS2000, which scanned the freshly cut pages in about five minutes.My only complaint about the guillotine? It weighs a ton.

I preface this by saying that you do get what you pay for. This is probably not the paper cutter for you if you plan to use this as a central part of your job on a daily basis.However, this is a great product at a great price for people who need a good paper cutter for regular use. It is definitely a large and heavy item, but it seems very well built and I don't need to question the mechanical integrity of this paper cutter. I am thoroughly impressed with how easily this paper cutter goes through a couple hundred pieces of paper -- "like butter" as some might way. I am also impressed with how well it keeps the paper in place as it cuts.I will admit that this paper cutter could be a pain if you have to make frequent changes to dimensions as you cut and that you need to be very careful that the dimension guide is set up squarely. It can be a little finicky.My largest qualm with this product is that it did not come with instructions on how to set it up or use it. I was able to search online and find YouTube videos that helped, but there was a bit of an intuitive learning curve associated with it.Otherwise... it's good for what I use it for as a hobby bookbinder and paper crafter.

We purchased this cutter for our church office. We use it to cut down bulletin inserts, flyers, etc. It is much more effective than the paper cutter we were using previously and allows all of our weekly bulletins to be cut accurately and in one cut..... our previous traditional paper cutter could only cut 10 sheets at a time and really only cut 5 well. This machine also cuts card stock. I would buy this product again

I bought this cutter to remove the bindings from magazines I was prepping to scan. Works great! I had two years of a magazine digitized in an afternoon. Highly recommend.User tip: be sure to clamp your material tightly before cutting, or it won_ cut flush

La compr para usar en casa y cuando me lleg vi que la guillotina ya hab_ sido usada. Tiene marcas que lo corrobora y alg_ que otro defecto. Pero aun as me la he quedado pues para lo que la quiero me sirve. Negoci con el vendedor la devoluci_ del 50% de su precio pues me daba pereza tener que devolverla debido a su peso. Sin ning_ problema accedi al trato. He quedado muy satisfecha pues al final he comprado una guillotina de segunda mano a buen precio. ??BRAVO POR EL VENDEDOR!!Si con el tiempo necesitara volver a comprar otra, no dudar_ en hacerlo a trav_ de este vendedor, pues en caso de volver a tener alg_ problema, s que responder bien y r_ido.
