I just bought this tongue drum to play for fun but I was amazed at how many sounds I could make with it. It has lows, mediums, and highs. Some may call this a pentatonic scale instrument. I'm not too familiar with the terminology but I do like playing this instrument! It's very calming and relaxing to play! Great for beginners and kids! I'm sure there are better instruments of this kind out there but for the price this isn't a bad deal at all. Highly recommend!

Decent tongue drum. Pretty and nice finish. Most notes sounds great. Just one tone has a bit of odd vibration. May be able to adjust it. We are happy with our purchase.

I have more expensive drums, and while I love them all, this remains my favorite. Such a soft, soothing sound, reminds me of the wooden tongue drums. Super easy to play.

Beautiful meditative sound. There are certain sweet spots on each tongue. I haven_ even attempted to play a real song, it_ very easy to just get carried away improvising with it.

I really like the soothing sounds it makes. I have started doing a time of music therapy/ devotional every day this is one of 3 instruments I use. Each instrument has a purpose, but it's all to fight the effects of chronic pain. It took me a bit to place the musical notes to the numbers but once I had that figured out I have learned over a dozen songs in the short time I have had it. It's also fun to play. I have been exploring in my music books what I can play on it.

You have to use the mallets. And you need to play softly. You don't have to hit the notes hard, fact is it plays better softly. Sound carries very far.

I love this drum. Still learning and having a fabulous time doing so. I even got 1 for my brother in law for his birthday. Now we have jam sessions. ?
