At first, I was a bit skeptical about a bandsaw this cheap. It's certainly not ad industrial-grade machine, but it does its job perfectly fine. I could seamlessly cut 20mm mild steel square bars (both hollow and solid), aluminum bars, cast iron (30mm), and more while still using half its maximum power setting. The tool doesn't come with an automatic lubrication system, however, you can always spray some lubricant manually while the blade is cutting. During my test cuts (where I manually sprayed lubricant from time to time), the blade always stayed cool to the touch. Although cheap, the bandsaw didn't have any vibration problems when cutting solid bars, and just some slight vibrations when cutting thin hollow stock, which was predictable. The only feature it's missing is the ability to set the blade vertically to use it as a table bandsaw like those used in woodworking.

Excellent power tool. Would recommend. Price was higher than an equivalent saw by alternative manufacturer.

Seems a competent bench top band saw that will be capable of much useful work. I was attracted to it for the portable facility as I wanted to cut a cross-member out of a vintage car chassis. In reality the portable saw is too heavy and too cumbersome to do that but would probably work in a more open environment. And, to be fair, a hand held electric saw would have been more appropriate for my requirement. I think the variable speed and in-built LED lamp are great features. The fitted vice is absolute crap especially if you are trying to hold small work. Probably just about okay for long sections. Overall, I'm well pleased. Good value.

I have a great old German Haberle cold cut saw but the blade broke and I didnt feel like buying a new blade just yet for almost $200 so I picked this up. It doesnt have the cutting capacity or cleanness of cut but for the price it cuts much quieter and pretty straight and with a little bit of deburring you cant beat the price of the unit and the cheapness of replacement blades for the future! recommended.

does the job, wish it had an auto off feature.not heavy enough to go down on its own. maybe adding some weights would help.

Finally had an opportunity to set-up the saw today and make a few cuts on 1" square tube (18 ga). Saw did great. Straight cuts were and 45's were near dead on out of the box. Blade was a bit of pain to get on but other than that the experience of using the saw have been great so far. Included blade has chewed through the 1" square tube fairly effortlessly and cut quality is perfect; but, we will see how long this included blade last. Good thing is - it comes with 2 blades so I should be good for awhile. If you need a hobbyist saw you can't go wrong here. Probably not the saw for a pro or a production shop but perfect for what I needed in my home/hobby shop for cutting metal on welding projects.
