Nice product
Used this as a single railing going down from our porch to the bottom wooden step. For wooden steps, it could have a broader plate to fasten at the bottom, as some think it is not totally stable, but I use it to aid my up and down, and it is perfectly still while I am using it. It isn't like it needs to have you hanging on it, and I think if I did trip, there would be no problem with it being solid enough.

Well made sturdy hand rail.
The reason I gave a 4 star: The finish on the top bar was very rough on one side. Had to take a file and remove metal shavings that were painted. It turned out smooth, but now there is a metal edge and I will need to repaint that portion. I had guys installing it and they didn't notice the finish until I took a hold of it and yes, it would cut the hand that held it and slid down it as you should be able to do. I love the look and know it will service my need and anyone that uses it for years to come. I will order another one for my front steps, I do hope the finish on it is better.

very sturdy, attractive
I would have given 4 stars but when installing on brick (3 hole, not solid) steps the holes you drill will inevitably go into a hole meaning not enough material for the anchol to hold. Even if it goes into the exact middle, the center will then be very thin and likely crack/ break. The anchors are too long to be effective for the 3-hole bricks. I could not find anchors the right length so I had to use lag screws and lag anchors. They are holding well enough so far and probably will if no one or nothing heavy falls against it. If I had thought about it/ realized the bricks, that I could not see, had the holes I could have asked the question about the anchors or at least planned better. Other that that, 5 stars.

Overall a good product for the price!
Study and can easily install if got the tools for drilling the concrete holes for the posts... good for the money (can be adjusted for up to about 7in rise stairs). Packaging can be a bit better because of small scratches on the paint which I needed to touch-up with black paint. Overall a good product for the price!

It looks and feels great.
I thought that the anchores were cheap and I had to buy bigger and better ones. But after I installed the better anchors it is a great addition to the house.
