Great kit for the price paid! Hardware was perfect for my 2” square tube trailer. Only reason I took 1 star off is the factory-installed connecting links between the cables and springs were not attached correctly or tightened. I made sure to double-check both sides before installing. But IMO, for customer safety, they should be connected through both springs and tightened from the factory. Please be sure to double-check yours! It would also be nice to have small spring clips for testing tension instead of S clips. Not a major deal. But a lot of walking back and forth to reconnect them during testing. Also just an FYI if you’re on the fence between on using 1 or 2 sides... In hindsight my 6x10 trailer with 4’ tall square tube/expanded metal ramp would’ve been fine with 1 lift. (I thought 1 side might be close to the weight limit.) A wood ramp, solid steel decking or something larger than 4’x5’ might need 2. I should’ve installed 1 side and checked first. And would recommend doing that. But I installed both “assembly line” style - drilled all pilot holes, drilled all slightly larger holes, expanded all holes to 1/2” with step drill bit, then installed both sides. But 2 is WAY more spring tension than what I needed. Since I’d already installed both, I removed the small springs from both sides to reduce the spring tension as discussed in the troubleshooting section of instructions. (Do Not use without the larger spring!) I could’ve also just used 1 side and had a backup for later if the spring/cable ever failed. But to me, having low tension on both sides should extend life of the installation. Overall, a little time and money wasted on my part. But still really happy with the final result!
