These lathes are available from a variety of suppliers under many names, they are all based on the same castings but features vary a lot. I chose the Vevor lathe for several reasons, it had a 500w motor where most others are 350w, I chose the option of metal change gears as almost all the others use plastic with metal being offered as a further purchase. I did not go for the one with the extras as I already had most of them. It is not without its faults, the motor needs checking to see if it is mounted square and done up tightly, the gibs will need adjusting and oiling, play in all 3 leadscrews needs to be adjusted and it would not hurt to strip and clean all the moving parts and reassemble them well with grease, this would apply to any mini lathe from any supplier. It has been a good tool and has served me well so far, I have made a lot of changes to it and added extras as I needed them. Parts are easy to obtain and there are many videos showing mods and changes that make them better, but despite saying all this, it worked straight from the crate with minimal adjustment. I am a model maker and most of what I make is very small but I also turn bigger parts when needed. The size of the lathe is fine for me, I even turned a bush in aluminium with a 58mm outer diameter from a piece of 3 inch bar, that was a long slow job.

A qualidade dos materiais é boa e até agora para um iniciante tem sido uma experiencia fantastica. Há contudo alguns pequenos problemas com folgas que podem ser ajustadas e minimizadas. Em suma, este torno vale a pena pelo preço e qualidade especialmente se pretende iniciar no mundo de torneiro mecânico. Recomendo vivamente.

I am very happy with my mini lathe. It gives me all the features require at a very acceptable price. It is well made and the drive gears are metal which is not the case with many competing products. My lathe was slightly damaged during the shipping process but the supplier was very quick to correct the problem. Supplier ***** Lathe ***** Service *****

It is a small lathe, and it needs some adjustments before use. Some part are looser than they should, and an accident can happen when the tool jams into the steele. This happens due to poor adjustments/precision in the parts like the crossbar. So go thru the unit before start using it.

A super bit of kit, unbelievable value. This lathe out performs machines many more times the cost, I am a retired engineer and believe me I know. Delivery excellent and helpfull, but !! I did not know you have to have A levels to get it out the box, it would have been helpful, if on the box the 3 6mm bolts were made reference to. Thank you, would recommend. Excellent Alan

The lathe works, quality is very average. Some tweaks needed to het it working - had to cut cover to get it closed to activate the safety switch, thread spiral screw jaw is not engaging correctly, one missing was missing.

A great little lathe bought to replace a very old floor standing lathe. Needs a few tweaks and adjustments to get it ready to cut. Mine came with a set of metal gears (a recommended upgrade over the plastic gear set). A T37 quick change toolpost has transformed the operation too. Turned stainless steel up to Ø14mm Bras up to Ø20 and aluminium up to Ø25 all with no issues. You tube has numerous videos showing how to get the best out of these mini lathes and they are a worthwhile watch. Would I recommend this lathe, yes already have, if your expecting a myford you will be disappointed but for the money this is hard to beat.

I am delighted with the Mini Lathe, the quality is excellent and it is ideal for me as a hobbyist and the price was the best compared to other companies. The Admin were always there at the end of an email with any queries I had and with prompt replies, very impressed.
