The method of creating art by printing is called printmaking, and it may be done on various materials, including cloth, metal, wood, and paper. Printmaking involves transferring pictures from an array onto a different medium, usually paper or fabric.

Monotyping is the technique of working with more ink on a plate that has already been etched and inked. The initial layout and its intricacies are permanently lost when the exact opposite of the first drawing is transferred to a new surface.
Artists puncture a design onto a sheet of metal coated in wax to create an etching, then immerse the entire matrix in powerful acid. The plate may be inked and flattened once the chemicals have finished disclosing the lines and keeping the wax intact.
Screen printing, one of the most widely used printmaking methods ever developed, starts with applying an ink-blocking stencil to a screen. Upon application, the ink transmits the design to the ground by selectively passing through.
Digital printing is the most recent method of printmaking on our list. It is often done using an ink-jet printer and a computer. Images with consistent tones and intense detail saturation are the results.
