Although I've been doing interior remodeling for going on 20 years, I've never really needed to mortise a door from both the edge and sides to install door hardware. I suppose most of my door work has been pretty conventional. My client ordered an expensive Emtek pocket door latch and I needed a mortice jig for the install. This one took a little time (and some practice on a 2x4) to get to understand the function, but it did the job well and the install was a complete success. I used a standard 1/2" Dewalt corded drill to power the cutting bit. My only criticism is that the cuts from multiple directions leave somewhat ragged corners. Easy to clean up with a small saw but somewhat irritating. Overall, I'm confident this tool will do the job whenever I may run across the need to mortise again.

J'ai utilis cette outil pour la conception de deux portes. C'est dire la r_lisation des mortaises pour l'assemblage avec les tenons. La profondeur que l'on peut atteindre est r_llement sup_ieur celle d'une toupie. Je conseille d'exp_imenter l'outil sur un morceau en trop pour se familiariser. Utilis une perceuse qui assez forte. Le r_ultat final est tr_ bon.

Die Fr?sk?pfe sind sehr stabil, die F_rung hat kaum Spiel, sodass das Ergebnis auf den Millimeter genau werden kann. Die Bedienung ist zwar etwas fummelig und ich w_de es nicht f_ den professionellen Einsatz empfehlen, aber f_ den Heimgebrauch ist es perfekt.
