This tool absolutely works and the price is reasonable. I can't image a way that a single person could ever use this device. I am not even sure how two people could make it work. I had to put the tool in a vice that I have mounted to a tractor. It took my full body weight to get the tool to close. The swages are good but the process is difficult. It is not the tools fault, it just takes a lot of force to swage 3/8 cable. Without the vice set up I know I could not have done it by myself.

Good price - does the job. Wouldn't call this a high quality tool though.

Handles are plenty long, but annoyingly tapered which makes them hard to clamp in a woodworking vise. Crimps fine. You'll need a large vise or second set of hands to free up a hand to position ferrules at start-of-crimp.

This Swager has the power for copper and aluminum sleeves but it is difficult to hold in place, and it is hard to get four crimps on an average copper sleeve. Copper also mushrooms a bit on the end with this Swager, so that means rotating the swage another three times on each crimp with difficulty aligning them. So, 16 crimps on each sleeve. I'm using bc I have to, but sure wish I could afford a hydraulic one... it's durable enough, just wonky.

it will crimp. I put mine in a vise and bepulled one handle. if you could buy smaller dies for smaller wire that would be great
