I don't have any wall space unoccupied left in my garage. The only space left is in the rafters, so I went looking for a solution. This motorized lift is just what I needed. The TV is a 65" diagonal and the screen is about 32" tall. That makes the stroke of this lift borderline for this size TV (beyond what is stated in the specs). If it was used in a cabinet then it would not have enough stroke to either completely show or hide the TV. It is plenty strong enough to lift the weight of this TV. I hung the lift from an eye-bolt though a braced cross board so that I can rotate the TV (once lowered) to be seen from anywhere in the garage.The unit uses a separate power brick, so be ready to find a place for it. It has a button keypad that has to be plugged in too, in order for the remote to work. Another thing to find a place for. No hard wiring involved, just need to organize all the wires (as with most things these days).Some of the other reviews talk about the speed of this lift. While I agree that it is not fast, it isn't that slow either. I haven't timed it, but it does take about 30-45 seconds to fully extend/retract. It doesn't seem to be faster/slower in either direction but might be by a few seconds.The way I have mounted, it does hang at an angle but that is a good thing for me. This angles the screen down a little. The TV mount included does not allow for further tilt. I would like some further tilt and I'm thinking of ways to make that happen.
