Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I have two RAV-Vast professional drums that are about $700-$800 each... For this price, this drum is pretty good. Usually these hand pan drums go for $1,000 - $2,000 each. The audio sounds better in person than on my video. The sound is very vibrant and loud. You can feel it go through your body! Although, the sound doesn't sustain more than 5 seconds (Rav-Vast is like 20 seconds when you hit each note). I give the craftsmanship 4 of 5 stars, because there's was some oil I had to wipe away (which left some faint stains - especially on the bottom). (Read More)...The blue color is much darker than the photo (almost black). It only looks dark blue in really bright light. There was slight half inch notches around the edges (as if a tool carved against the drum to shut it (where they put the drum together), it is no big deal. It doesn't affect the sound but makes craftsmanship look a little sloppy. The drumsticks that come with it make it sound much more loud when playing. Also, if you are a slow learner the drumsticks can help you sound better (than if you play by hand). Although, by hand is more versatile and less likely to dent the drum.Just be careful not to dent any hand pans in general. All similar hand pans can warp, if you constantly hit them too hard, or drop them etc. Then you will either need to get them re-tuned, or buy another. Also the bottom portion of this drum cannot be played, only the top makes good drumming sounds... only the top is really instrumental.I am having fun playing. It is louder than my Rav-Vast drums. It is good for the price, and a totally different sound! I wish this company made other key combinations instead of just D-Minor. I would have liked D-Major or other styles like F, A, etc.
