I was a bit dubious about this because of the low price, I think it was _51 including post and 9 boring bars but I was pleasantly surprised . It is really good quality as are most chinese tools nowadays. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the boring bars as supplied are pretty useless. You will need to regrind them using a diamond wheel. Most model engineers would be able to do this. Once they are reground they are fine.

This boring head works well. It is not a precision ground tool. There's definitely quite a bit of play, but tightening the set screws rigidly holds the tool so the play doesn't matter. Far better value than the 2" boring heads that do not accept standard 3/4" shank boring bars.It has some adjustment in both positive and negative directions, which is nice.The boring bars it comes with seem to be decent enough quality. They are however brazed carbide boring bars and NOT indexable, which is contradictory to the description. The set screws will bite into the shank and damage them if over-tightened, which can cause problems removing the bars from the boring head.You need three different allen keys (supplied) to use this tool. This is annoying. A single sized allen key would have been better.Overall decent enough. It isn't a high end precision ground tool, but it will get the job done.

This is a well made boring head. For the money you cannot beat it. Was able to bore bearing journals as needed and hold tolerance. Sure there are other boring heads that might be better out there but not at this price. If you know what you are doing you will be happy. The boring bars are good too. They come very sharp, might want to dress them so the do not chip but mine are holding up just fine so far

Works great. Tools hold up well. Only complaint is the dial for adjusting the cut is awfully far from the index line but no big deal really. It still holds .001 tolerance no problem in 4140 steel even! Great deal

Nicely done cutters are ground properly. Gib lock works bar holes on mine are spot on

As usual with my tools I disassemble clean and oil before I start using them. I did find some grit and burrs inside the head but nothing was damaged. Used on one project so far and was able to hold +/-.0005" I did use extra indicators on the body to be sure of my adjustments. For the price I can't complan and I do plan on purchasing another in the future.
