Very thick metal. This thing will never bend or warp. I know that it has to withstand the elements year round and blazing fires. I have a can of high heat black paint already if needed. It looks good and was easy to assemble. I am attaching a photo.

Excellent value! Super easy to assemble. My package accidentally was shipped without the screws, by my husband got some to put it together. Emailed the seller and they promptly responded and gave a small credit for the mistake.

Simple to put together, once bolted together is very sturdy. We haven't used it yet, still in process of building with brick around it but comparing to other rings we were looking at we are very happy with this one! Can't wait to use it!Chris C.

Fire pit ring was sturdy and fit well inside the fire pit. It seems to be protecting the pavers nicely.-zp

I wanted a ring for a fire pit that is larger than standard 36 inches. This was a perfect fit. Easy assembly and adjustment. The only negative is that the lip that sits on top of bricks is not consistently straight at 90 degree angle from the ring (a slight gap between the lip and bricks underneath). Other than, that it is a great ring at this price.

Very easy to assemble, very sturdy, sits flush and looks great. I even drilled holes using a cobalt drill bit as I am building a smokeless fire pit. It even shipped faster than promised!
