Easily installed. Good aid for older guests in accessing patio.

I was goimg to write a review about how easy this handrail was to put together and install. It is very sturdy!! .. However, when I was in the process of putting it together, I took a closer look at the Top (most important) part of the handrail. It has a large gouge, a large spot missing paint, and a very sharp edge imperfection. (Resulted in only a tiny cut when I ran my hand over it) I filed down the sharp edges and spray painted the damaged area and will have to live with it, as it would be too expensive to return. Putting my house up for sale and had to intall a hand rail, so no time to look elsewhere. Very Poor Quality Control.UPDATE!! After seeing my review about the Top Rail being very pitted and poor quality control this company contacted me and offered to send a new top rail. Not only did I recieve a new top rail (which is flawless) I recieved and entire new unit!! Kudos to this company and their OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!!

I like everything about this rail except the included concrete anchors. After putting it up with all 8 included anchors, it just wasn't that sturdy. Went to Home Depot, dropped a $20 on lag shields and screws and it is rock solid. The picture has the included (used) anchors and the far superior lag shields.

It was overall very easy to assemble. I wouldn't recommend anymore than 3 risers. Mocking it up as a 4 step handrail causes the "horizontal" portion of the handrail to actually sit at an angle. It was fortunate for me that I only need the handrail to traverse 3 risers. Came with all tools for assembly. You just need the appropriate masonry drill bit and hammer drill for complete the job. Plus a hammer and socket if you intend to use the supplied wedge anchors. I used some 3/8 Tapcon anchor bolts that were a breeze to drive in with an impact driver. Very solid once everything was anchored down and tightened. No experience with long-term durability, but only time will tell with that.

This appears to be a good, sturdy handrail, but like many reviewers have noted, there are no installation instructions included. My package was also missing some hardware and four parts. The missing parts are to cover the bolts on both anchors, so not the worst thing. The missing hardware (some bolts and nuts) I had to purchase myself. Since you'll have to figure out most of it by yourself you'll need to be pretty handy. Also, don't expect any customer service from the seller. My interaction with them was much less than pleasant. They are "get the money and done."

Sturdiness and attractive

The bolts where pretty flimsy had to buy bigger size. Also had to modify the product because it would not reach the bottom step! Use for steps that are not very deep! The end product was over all very good! Nice and sturdy when it was done!

I assembled and installed two hand rails for three step span. The product is what it is represented to be!

UPDATE: After writing my initial review - the company reached out and offered a replacement or full refund. I must say that I am very impressed with their responsiveness and eagerness to make the situation right. I would not hesitate to purchase from them again - given how they stand behind their products.Original review: During install the main post sheared at the base plate connection. I have tried to fix it with jb-weld though I definitely question the durability. It does not feel like it will last more than a couple years.
