On arrival it was packed well and on time, the variable transformer was not damaged.I tested the output voltage of the transformer with a mulitmeter and the voltage indicated on the transformer was out by a fear amount, at 50 volts the meter on the transformer indicated 25 volts at 240 volts and indicated 220 volts on the transformer. The max voltage output from the transformer was 366 volts with an input voltage of 244 volts. if I require a specific voltage use a multimeter .The outer case of the transformer is earthed with a resistance of 0.2 ohms. I have used the transformer on 3 repairs and it worked weal. For instance the transformer supplied 110 volts at 4.8 amps for over 4 hours and it did not get hot just worm. having used other variable transformer that have been much more expense so I think this product is good value, just use a mulitmeter not the volt meter on the transformer.
