I'm a mechanically minded individual and it took considerably longer to assemble than it should've.Since the instructions were photocopied and washed out, I ended up not even use them (well... I couldn't use them). I had to find online resources for similar products. I'm assuming the included and unlabeled CD also had the instructions, but who owns a CD drive anymore? The springs have loops on each end, however one of them had such a narrow opening that neither loops on the base and the arm could fit, which created a headache.Beyond the assembly, there are a few issues. This is a 4 color machine and the alignment of each color is paramount. While the alignment mechanism is great for 2 of the 4 arms, it is not terrific on the other two... there is an quarter of an inch give to the left and right. There are ways to resolve this, so I'm not too bent out of shape over it.All-in-all... it works. For the price, I think the quality is to be expected.
