Pump fairly quiet, low vibration and very effective. Very adequate for 11 litre chamber. Pumps chamber down quickly, about a minute to about 0.05 bar (95% air removed). To reach lowest pressures then takes about another 2 minutes with no measurable improvement beyond 5 minutes. Low pressure boils off water at room temperature, very interesting to watch (happens about 0.02 bar). Once pumped down the chamber holds vacuum well with pump turned off and isolating tap turned., no noticeable change (with empty chamber) after 24 hours. Chamber holds several spools of plastic if you want to dry (or keep dry) 3d printer filament, especially pesky nylon which is a pain to keep very dry. As with all vacuum pumps their internal oil absorbs moisture. This one has a nice big window so you can see the state of its oil. The pressure gauge is basic but seems to work well. Note that it measures the difference between chamber and atmospheric pressure, you get small changes with the weather, noticeable when monitoring very low chamber pressures.
