I recently purchased a Weather Station from Vevor and wanted to share my experience with the product. The weather station's sensor is equipped with a small solar panel and comes with inexpensive rechargeable batteries, which appear to be of lower quality.
We bought the weather station on July 24 and installed it according to the manual. The weather station is installed in Greece, where we have an average of around 2,700–3,000 hours of sunshine per year. I mention this in relation to the rechargeable batteries and the small solar system included with the weather station.
We installed the rechargeable batteries that came with the product, but they seem to be low-quality. About a week ago, these batteries died and are no longer recharging. Since we positioned the weather station on a long mast, it is extremely inconvenient to bring the 7-in-1 sensor down to replace the batteries.
One major issue I encountered was during the installation process. Mounting the sensor on a 5-meter mast was quite challenging. The height and the complexity of the setup made the task more difficult than I had anticipated.
While the idea of a solar-powered sensor is appealing, the quality of the rechargeable batteries raises concerns about their durability and long-term performance. Considering the effort required to install the sensor at such a height, I highly recommend purchasing high-quality branded rechargeable batteries to avoid frequent replacements. This will save you the trouble of taking down the sensor every 2 to 3 months.
Overall, while the weather station has its advantages, the challenging setup process and the questionable battery quality diminish the overall experience.
