I now have 7 of these hives , one occupied by bees see photo , hoping to populate others next season with swarms. One photo shows a brood chamber on a plastic base, hopefully will entice swarms

Pros. Very pretty looking beehive. Joints are accurate and very tightly fitting. Cons. It really should come with a Varroa mesh floor and tray. It should be stated more clearly that it is (unlike most Langstroth beehives) a bottom bee-space as opposed top bee-space hive. It should have the option of buying a hive consisting of one deep box along with two or three medium boxes, instead of two of each.

I am very happy with this Hive. It looks good, is very functional and best of all, my Bees Love it! Vevor were very helpful when I contacted them in relation to setting up this Hive and I am glad to say that I now have a LOAD OF HONEY! Thank you Vevor! I love the access window. I’ve added plexiglass glass inside so the bees have a little more protection and me too. Happy bees and happy mees

I now have 7 of these hives, i will be using the 2 deep boxes to,hopefully, trap swarms. Then I can put into full hive without disturbing bees.I also have 4 polyhives but these Cedar ones are much nicer to look at and make an attractive garden feature.An annual painting with beeswax should guarantee years of service and maybe lots of honey.I have moved a swarm into one of these hives and the bees seem happy in it

I have 5 of these hives with 2 more on the way. beautifully made and easy to assemble. I moved a swarm into the first one 2 days ago and they have settled in well, I shall populate the rest of the hives as bees become available but it is getting cold so may have to finish the job in Spring. I would recommend making some simple insulated jackets if the weather gets really cold if your swarm size is small. At this great price using the deep frames from one of the hives as swarm traps makes a good proposition as any bees trapped can be housed in a full hive without disturbance.These hives are more attractive than polyhives and with a regular coating of bees wax should last years

This is an ok deep brood hive box. It comes in a lot of pieces and needs to be put together. Once put together it is alright.
