Je suis un d_utant et c'est parfait pour forger. Le dessus a fini par _re bossel, mais ?a m'emp_he pas de m'amuser forger. Pour un d_utant c'est super !

Enclume de bonne facture.Sur la photo de la 20kg, il n'y a pas de trous de fixation sur un _abli mais ils sont bien l. La surface de travail a _ rectifi_ en usine, ce qui est bien. Par contre pour des travaux de forgerons, elle ne fera pas le "poids".Si l'on veut faire du lourd, il vaut mieux choisir une enclume plus grosse et tout acier (cassez votre tirelire !!!!). Pour des travaux l_ers ou moyens, c'est l'id_l.N'oubliez pas de bien choisir vos marteaux (poids et mati_e).L'id_l : un petit 50gr, un 250gr et un 450gr si possible en laiton ou acier doux.Vous voila bien _uip !.

The product shipped pretty quick, in the early part of the expected arrival range. The anvil is well designed, has a good coating of oxidant protection, has a smooth striking surface, and is large enough to get most jobs done in a small shop. I'm sure with proper care this anvil will be in my shop for many years to come. Overall, I'm quite pleased with this product and look forward to expanding my skills while using it.

Make sure you get the 66lb Steel Anvil the other one is cast iron. Great value for the money and is working beautifully.

I am a novice blacksmith:It is exactly what you would expect. A descent sized anvil. Has quite a ring. Good bounce. There is going to be some extensive clean up to get rid of that blue paint, to reshape the horn into an actual horn, and to correct some minor defects. Looks like the hardy hole will need some attention as well. Worst case in a few years, i will use it as a punch plate and frequently used hardy tool holder.The "Gift hammer" i got was a crappy 100 gram piece of junk, not the 500 gram one advertised. At least my 9 year old will get to play blacksmith with it, after i reset the head on a new handle.
