This is more of a 'beast' of a machine than I was expecting, it's 'very' heavy, solidly built, and needs its own space, not something you can fold up and put away easily. I use my old music stool which gives it a secure base and it overlaps all round. I use it to cut the spines off all my old books which I wanted to scan into the computer and put on a hard drive to save space. It's very good but like I say, a bit of a monstrosity and eventually when I've finished doing the work I have it for I don't know where I will get rid of it too. Put too many sheets of paper in it and it will 'cut' at an angle so remember to tighten down the paper holder properly each time to prevent 'paper slips'.
