it actually cuts the thick sheets of paper easily and cleanly. it is a real tool. heavy duty. I couldn't fit my 500 sheets of 24lb paper all at once. i did half and half. you will be happy with this life long product.

We have been making books in my art class. They are 9 in by 6 in. We have trimmed at least 40 books with a mixture of watercolor, canvas paper, drawing paper, and glue, and this has performed perfectly. One warning note, keep your fingers away from the blade! I barely touched it and it took a chunk out of my knuckle. But honestly, I am impressed with how sharp it is.

Mais en fait, avec un peu de m_hode, on y arrive tr_ bien; il suffit de mesurer la largeur des feuilles couper, et de reporter cette largeur sur le graduations du plateau (qui est tr_ finement gradu, et hors standard, est de toute fa?on gradu en centim_res et en pouces ce qui fait qu'on s'u retrouvera toujours). Pour 100 ce massicot est une affaire saisir, et en plus il est capable de couper une centaine de feuilles d'un coup. Un achat ne pas rater, sous aucun pr_exte.

I would not call this a professional guillotine. It is sufficient to cut small projects. I will be using it to cut books that I bound. They are only 100 sheets of paper, so it can cut them easily. The trick is getting the cutter tightened with the paper aligned correctly. This takes a bit of practice using this particular cutter. I found that stop arm, that looked like a windshield whipper to be hard to adjust and basically useless. You could spend more on a fancier cutter if you do a lot of work, this won't work for a busy 0rint shop. I got this for my personal use after my boss sold the Chandler Price we had at work. On the plus it is much smaller and I was able to set it on top of my antique sewing table.

I have only used it in a limited amount, but it seems to be exactly what I needed. The instructions could be better and more detailed.
