K - yes, there are very clearly better anvils in the world. There are also better trucks than my 7.3L F250, but ya know what? Works. Works juuust fine every time. This anvil is the same way. Find a better anvil for the price - heck find a meaningfully better one for 1.5x the price. You won't. Top surface on the 66lb is hardened, flat, &smooth, bottom structure is solid, nice ring, great for a novice wannabe blacksmith for heatin' and beatin'.

smaller than i thought it would be but it turned out to be perfect for a starter anvil! would highly recommend.

This anvil is my first steel anvil & it is perfec for my needs..it's a major step up from my 55lb cast iron one.. rebound is immense by comparison so work is reduced..Recommended as a great starter anvil

Like this anvil very much! Using for building large metal sculptures.

This anvil is a good first anvil. I immediately did the bounce test on the top with a ball bearing. I dropped the bearing on it and the ball returned up to my hand. I've used the anvil to straighten and repair multiple tools and various other items.My only complaint is that ths legs are not level.

Der Amboss wurde sehr schnell geliefert, entspricht genau der Abbildung, ist sauber verarbeitet und der Stahl wirklich hart. Nur geschmiedet ist er definitiv nicht, sondern aus Gussstahl. Ich tippe da auf einen _ersetzungsfehler in der Artikelbeschreibung.Wirklich geschmiedete Ambosse kosten aber auch mindestens das Dreifache.Einziger "Mangel":Meiner ist blau statt schwarz lackiert, aber ein Amboss muss ja nicht farblich zu irgendetwas passen... ;-)Und er "singt" recht laut und unangenehm, was aber andererseits ein Zeichen hoher H?rte ist.Einfache L?sung:Wenn man nicht gerade direkt auf dem eckigen Hornende schmiedet, ein St_k Leder, Stoff o.?. um das Hornende und Ruhe ist.Zum Service:Der als Zugabe versprochene Hammer war zwar nicht dabei (wahrscheinlich verloren gegangen weil Karton eingerissen) aber es wurde daf_ (sofort, freiwillig und anstandslos) sogar deutlich mehr Preisnachlass gew?hrt als so ein Hammer wert ist. Vielen Dank an den Verk?ufer.Kurz und gut: f_ den Preis absolut top!!
