This one cut about 150 cards at once and sliced through it like butter. Amazing
I just got it today and used it. I'm a teacher and I need it to cut index cards, and regular paper cutters can't cut more than 10 index cards at a time. This one cut about 150 cards at once and sliced through it like butter. Amazing. It is heavy, but it cuts well. The little handle that raises the blade was on backwards but after you put it on right it's easy to use.

Cuts clean!
Although I haven't used it a lot, it is well made and cuts nice and clean. I would have no problem recommending this to someone

Powerful and easy to use, but watch out for the back-bar alignment
The first few times you use this cutter on a big stack of paper or cardstock, you're going to feel like Superman. It cuts so easily and so cleanly that you'll be tempted to show it off to your friends by taking slices off huge phone books! One serious caution, though: in my case at least, the back bar wasn't at a proper right angle to the blade, so I couldn't use that and had to rely instead on the gridlines marked on the base (which *are* sufficiently perpendicular). I keep meaning to try loosening the bolts that hold the back bar down and trying to tweak it, but I still haven't gotten around to it.

Cuts Stacks of Paper Like Butter
Bought thermal binding glue strips for binding my own paperback volumes. My books are only about 40/50 pages, so it only takes 1/4 of one of these strips (cut long-ways with a utility knife) to bind a book. In fact, they are a tiny bit longer than my books are tall, so I can put together the ends I trim off to make a 5th book out of a single strip. That ends up being about $0.20/book for glue. Not bad!I am using 11x17 cover stock parchment (printed on an Epson WF7610) to print the covers, and a Fellowes thermal binder to bind them. Don't make the mistake of trying to print covers for an 8x10 book on a smaller printer, and make sure the printer can print on thick stock. Make sure the glue strips don't leak out the ends of the book spine, or it will mess up your thermal binder. I use the top of a butter knife (you can buy a folding bone if you want to spend money) to score the edges of the spine to get a sharp, straight edge. Finally, use a stack paper cutter to trim the edges of the books so they have that clean-cut, professional look.

Nice machine, cuts beautifully
This guillotine is really nice and heavy, so no worries about it moving when you cut a stack of paper. Which is essential for clean book sides. I'm printing/publishing books, cutting off the edges to make them straight, and this cutter does a perfect job.I wanted a machine that I would not regret buying, it being kind of a toy, like some of the cheaper paper cutters. So I spent the money and got this one and I have been very satisfied. There are screws to adjust the pieces, should you need to. The usable parts are not set in stone, but adjustable. All in all, despite the fact that it weighs quite a bit to ship, it's been the hit machine for me.
