Bought this way Ridgid cameras were getting fixed. I needed something to use in two days so far this thing has been working good I cannot complain about it.

First time I opened the box it broke. Thinking about sending it back. Afraid to use it and have it break somewhere else.

Tangentbordet och den digital mätningen av hur mycket kabel som är ute fungerade inte. Fick ta isär på kretskortet för att skifta stift på en kontakt efter instruktion för att det skulle fungera met mätningen. Tangentbordet fungerar dock fortfarande inte. Så förutom Tangentbordet känns det gediget och bra bild från kamera och skärm

Frame zit scheef, hierdoor is het uitrollen en inrollen zeer moeilijk. Oplossing zou kunnen zijn het scheve frame-deel eruit te zagen, maar waar ben je dan mee bezig. Daarnaast levelt de camerakop het beeld niet, de horizon in je beeld draait dus. Er zit geen lader bij de peilstok, deze dien je dus apart aan te schaffen.

I tried to run it through a 10" drain pipe. It was smooth inside but could only get camera out 100' before the cable bent. Tried several times and same result. The came and recording worked great.

The controls on the video unit are rather clunky, but they do work once I took some time to play with the setup and read the sometime fractured instructions. Camera worked as expected. The big problem I had are with the locating receiver, antenna and potentially the built-in sonde. The camera battery was fully charged. I put brand new batteries in the receiver. The antenna is not cracked. I was practicing the locating instructions on top of the ground and was never able to find Null. The meter bars were never less than 4 - even when the camera and sonde were turn off and I walked 300 feet away into a field. The sound on which came out of the receiver was a constant loud wail. Obviously something wrong. I am returning the unit and will as for a new replacement. If that fails, I will just get a refund. The second major issue is that called the support line and was on hold for 55 minutes, and then when I was at the head of the queue I was dumped into a voicemail box. I am totally pissed off.

The scope and screen are both great quality. However, it is not clear how the scope is supposed to wind and unwind, and three of us (who've all been in construction a long time) could not get it to wind/unwind effectively and resorted to just unwinding the whole thing and zip tying it. More than that, though, the locator does not work unless you already know exactly where the pipe is and it's only a few inches below grade. We tried it in exposed pipe and as soon as the pipe went underground, the signal was lost.

Worked well for a couple of days until the lens shattered. The lens is not made out of crystal; it is just a glass lens and shatters pretty easily. I asked for a part number or support for a new camera head piece or lens, and sent that on 3/16/2026, and I am still awaiting a response.
