Used inside my house as I have a split level lounge. Provides excellent service, needed after I broke my hip. Not too difficult for a handy person like me to install as I already have all the relevant tools. However the curved ends of the upper tube of this railing are not deburred and I scratched myself badly on one of the curved ends and it took ages to mend itself. So I have taped plastic caps (off deoderizer spray cans) onto the sharp ends.

This railing is robust and well constructed. The slight reservation is that the hand rail flexes slightly due to the joint in it. This is no real problem though. Referring to other reviews about the fixing bolts, I used the one supplied and they do give a firm base to the structure. Their rigidity will depend on the material that they are fixed in.

Not very solid, yet safe I hope - it is balancing a little, although is well fixed in the steps' floor. It looks quite indelicate for interior.

Not exactly what I was looking for.

The railing fixed an issue on new construction where the first vertical post needed to be on the first stair rather than on the concrete. It looks good and will serve our purpose. This would have been a 5 star rating except for two things. The packaging came damage and there were loose screws in the box that had come out of the plastic bag. The second one was damaged also but not quite as bad. There needs to be more packing at the ends of the box as the pipes slide and cut the cardboard. The other thing that would be nice would be a plug for the open ends of the pipe. My daughter got badly stung because a hornets nest was inside a railing and she did not know it. I have a 3D printer so I just printed some plugs. The outside diameter is 2 inches and the inside diameter is 1 15/16 inches.

It was all good.
