Deckel

Buyer of many things
I bought this unit to make sugar free diabetic ice cream. It is super easy to use, but not quite so easy to clean up as the ice cream attaches itself to the paddle. The making of the ice cream is totally hands off after you add your mixture. It is very nice to be able to pull the machine out and go, instead of having to fool around with ice or pre-freezing a mixing pot. You get what you pay for as the easier it is to use, the more likely it will cost more. I am quite happy with the unit but we don't use it frequently, we are more likely to make a few batches of ice cream and then not use it for a bit. There are lots of recipes on-line and Google is your friend. a good basic recipe is a great place to start and then modify the recipe as required. Home made ice cream goes VERY solid on the freezer. Adding berries or nuts is probably best done after the ice cream is made and removed from the machine. For the most part, fresh from the machine ice cream is like soft serve so you have the opportunity to add at that point. Pre-freezing your storage containers is also a good idea as a warm container causes the ice cream to melt a bit. Sugar free (or not) coffee syrup flavorings are a great way to get some flavors. For those not opposed, liqueurs or alcohol, like Kahlua and instant coffee make a very nice coffee ice cream and the alcohol does not allow the ice cream to freeze rock hard.

Ice cream maker
Used it once.
Perfect.
You have to put it in the freezer 4 hours to firm up.
But all in all very nice.
I made a custard.
Creamiest ice cream I've ever eaten.

Très bonne machine.
Ca fait parfaitement le boulot. Les réglages sont assez simple. Un seul bémol, la notice n'explique pas grand chose. Mais on y arrive en essayant.

Grey 2qt
I am niw making my second batch, it says 60 minutes on the timer, but it is ready after about 40 minutes. Im giving it 4 stars because the box was damaged and it has a small dent in the bottom corner.
