I bought four of these jacks to support one side of a small log cabin wall when I was replacing the pill log. Weight supported on each jack was likely not more than about 2000-3000 pounds. These jacks aren't the type that you can use to raise or lower the load but instead only to use to support the load. So, you should be using hydraulic jacks to lift/raise your load. I did use it on many occasion to do a bit of lift/raise and subsequently, I snapped the weld points securing the 4" x 6" plate on one of the jacks. Still usable in that the plate can rest on top of the jack screw but not nearly as secure.

I was a bit worried about buying without seeing them but was pleasantly surprised. Worked perfectly temporarily shoring up either side of a beam in a crawl space that required replacing.

This works exactly how I expected. Very inexpensive compared to a Jack post if you already have the wood post

i purchased these to use as struts for a completely custom application on a construction project. They worked fantastic for that application. I would have had no issues using them to jack up a floor. Well made and cost effective
