I’m leaving this review to help anyone in a similar situation to myself. I purchased a 3-phase CNC lathe (a Southwestern Industries Trak TRL 1630SX) but only have single-phase power in my shop. The lathe has a 10HP motor, and I was able to set up this VFD in about 30 minutes and get the machine running smoothly. You’d never know it’s not running on true 3-phase power.
I’m particular about buying quality tools, so I was initially skeptical about this relatively inexpensive VFD — especially since name-brand units cost several times more. However, after using it for a month, I’m completely satisfied and wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one. The motor runs flawlessly, and the setup process was straightforward. I recommend watching a few YouTube videos for setup guidance — it makes the process even easier.

Price - was way below average from any other brand. Easy to use - I had an electrician wire it in for me he was able to find a video online for the individual specs needed. Features- way more than what I needed.

Utilise pour pont triphasé sur une installation monophasé. Commande via le variateur de fréquence ainsi démarrage progressif possible. La notice est peu aisée à appréhender c’est un point à améliorer pour être accessible aux moins « acharnés ».
