Walt 3KW VFD running southbend lmetal lathe

So far, it's working perfectly as a single phase 220VAC to 3 phase 240 on an old 1HP southbend lathe for a couple of weeks. My motor is probably drawing upto sbout 1kw, but I havent checked since this VFD is rated much higher. Havent got it fully set up yet, but the manuel is decent and reasonably written, but could be improved.
Based on the succcess of this experience, planing to purchase all 3 phase motors and drive them by VFDs in the future. I already have 8 more on order.
Clearly, Im counting on the long term durability to be solid.
I also like this unit because the DC bus is accessible in the drive and I plan to test it running straight off 380VDC. If successfull, will likely wire everything to run 380VDC directly off of solar assuming I can find a charge controller to regulate a high voltage battery pack.
