This is a beast of a machine. It's robust and well built. It is easy to use, accurate and gives a nice, clean cut. Just beware, the blade is very sharp, as it needs to be. Can highly recommend. It should last for many years.

I am really pleased with this guillotine, the reviews I read were very positive and how true they were. It is a great bargain and arrived in good time by DHLI am a book maker and this is so good for cutting 2mm greyboard and my paper it saves me lots of time.Great ProductThanks Ron Jones

This is a very heavy piece of equipment, and really needs space so you can leave it out.There is a wind up/down, guard that holds the card in place and you have to use 2 hands to release the blade but need very little pressure with one hand to actually cut.The instructions are very limited but it is easy to work out, you will need to turn the handle around (that lifts the bar that hold paper or card in place) on the wind up/down guard;there is an additional cursor which you screw in place to help line up card and hold in place.The cutting accuracy is very good and I can_ believe how well it cuts card and 2mm greyboard. This machine has made prepping for projects and my classes so much quicker.There are a couple of small tools should you wish to remove the blade to sharpen it- at the moment mine is still very sharp and I have used it many times.I have a rotatrim M series that I used to use for the grey board; not any more I use this machine all the time.Only quibble, cannot cut below an inch, but still worth the investment.Also there may be some oil residue on the blade for the first few cuts so use some scrap card first.

Brought this to cut plastic j clips for work, it does the job, good all round peace of kit. Good value

This guillotine works fine, no problem. Quick and simple to assemble.

What a machine! Heavy, well built and solid. Slices through paper like butter. But be warned it is big, and weighty so if you are a little un, you will need some help getting it out of the box, but if you are like me, big and strong, then you will be OK...seriously, great piece of kit.

This works great, easy to use, very accurate. Just be careful... I apparently brushed my finger across the blade on accident, look down and my fingernail was cut off!! Watch your fingers!!

I ordered this for our office because we have been burning a lot of DVDs and to order custom sized DVD cover inserts was expensive. This paid for itself with one production! This is a heavy duty cutter, well constructed and designed. It only needed slight blade adjustment when we got it.Some other reviews mention the issue of excessive grease on the machine when received. While there was a little lubricating oil on the one we received it was easily wiped up and ready for use.The unit doesn't come with directions, but you'll figure out how to use it easily.

Great cutter! I got the 17" manual model; it'll do huge stacks of paper all at once. I bought it to cut various wedding stationery (invitations, RSVPs, programs, menus, name cards, etc.), and bought this 17" model specifically so I could also trim stacks of 11x17" posters; the cutting edge is indeed long enough to trim a 17" piece of paper. There are two reasons I'm giving this 4 instead of 5 stars - both minor annoyances which can be worked around easily enough. One is that the grid printed on the flat surface is very very slightly misaligned to the blade - by about a sixteenth of an inch across the 17" cutting edge. The other is that the farthest end of the blade doesn't actually lower all the way, so if you're cutting a single sheet of 11x17" paper unless you've stacked a little scrap paper under it. Not dealbreakers, easy to work around. This cutter is a good value for money.
