Perfect for small projects
Got this lathe for Christmas from my awesome gf. Bought some carbide tools, harbor freight 4 jaw chuck and lathe stand, pen mandrell from psi, and a few other odds and ends. So far this has been an awesome little lathe to get me back into turning. Like other reviewers said, if you're planning to do large bowls , you'll need something bigger. For pens, stoppers, openers, ect, this is perfect.

Nice little lathe.
Unit is solid and works as expected with only one disappointment and that is the motor being more underpowered than I expected. Not a huge issue as this is a smaller inexpensive lathe.

Great Little Lathe
I got this lathe for my dad on his birthday. Not knowing much about lathes he picked up on it quick and this little thing has turned out to be his favorite tool in his shop. Well worth the money and is capable of making some great things. The variable motor speed is smooth and clean. If you are unsure if you want to make the big investment of a more professional lathe this is a great lathe to start with.

Beginner lathe with growth potential
I did my research and bought this as my first lathe. The only issue is the cord from the motor to the speed control module has a loose plug. At first I couldn’t figure out why the lathe kept stopping. I bent the prongs a little and it’s better, but it still comes loose from time to time.

Very Nice Machine
Since I decided to get back into turning. I purchased this lathe, as I have limited space. It works beautifully and has plenty of power for all the turning I've done so far. Only negative is the spur chuck they provide. It does not really work on hard woods.
