It works fine. The electric consumption is 1450 W, a bit less than the nominal. It reached the desired heat in a reasonable time. After that to keep the heat the consuption dropped to about 10 Watts that is I think excellent. The housing gets pretty hot, so be careful, don't touch it. All in all, the construction, materials, usage are very friendly smelting small amount of metal is easy. For home work it is recomended. If someone send me some gold and silver, I'll report the work with them too.

Works well .The electrical connection could be better and the foot pedal feels weak. There are two equal coils included, it would be nicer if it were 2 different sizes

Packed very well. I tried melting copper and it worked great. As for the accuracy temperature, there is no certainty about this.

Best buy in a long time! I used to melt my silver the old fashion way. This way I can melt more at the same time and prepare for sand casting while this wonderful thing is doing its job. Really recommend!

Well, I have used it a couple of times now and yes, it works. That said, it takes quite a long time to be at a temperature around 800 degrees and even at that temperature it is not able to really melt aluminium. 900-950 seems to be the temperature needed to be set on the machine and that takes almost 2 hours. And so, there is no second batch to be done in the max. 3 hours of the machine to be on. So, that is a bit minimal it seems. I guess with better insulation it would get on temperature faster? Before using it, I preaheated the crusible well and long, slowly in steps but even that, after 3 poors, it broke. I bought a new crusable and hope to get more out of it. Not reallly easy to remove the old one by the way, needed to remove many screws and carefully take it out. How many poors can the machine itself make? Still have to find out.

Ive never used a electric melting furnace before (only traditional methods) but this thing works great! I use it to melt down raw copper and tin separetly and on the second melt combine them into bronze, and its nice to just set the temperature and let the metal melt. I live in Finland so the temperature outside while ive been testing it has been between -5 to -10 celcius and i have my shop outside.. but i do take the furnace inside after every melt once it has cooled down enough. I set the crucible inside the furnace and let it heat up to 150c and keep it there for a while, just so any moisture can evaporate in ease. After that i add the material i want to melt, crank it up to temperature and leave it. For copper i let it sit liquid for a good 10 minutes before pouring). So easy to use, heats up fast (even copper gets a really liquid melt) and its safe to use.

Bought several ovens of this type. Works flawlessly! Easy to use, build quality good. The price is very good compared to similar ovens.
